Re: lateral admission in btech in civil Engineering after diploma? After completion of Diploma, you need to prepare for JEE Lateral Entry. Get a good score and get placed in a good institution. But in some cases you won't need to appear JEE. |

Yes , you can take admission in b.tech 2nd year after completing diploma but you take only which branch as you taken in diploma courses and now at a time no any colleges and unverisities to provide to take another branch in b.tech courses . so, that means if you are doing diploma with civil branch you must take same branch in b.tech Note:-Diploma holders must attend state gov. lateral entry process through which you can direct entry in b.tech 2nd year. but IIT (main) and IIT (advance) is not held above this process. |

Re: lateral admission in btech in civil Engineering after diploma? You can definitely get a seat for Be or BTech after you complete your diploma. The only requirements are that you shall not have failed in any subject throughout your diploma course and you should have a final percentage of 60% or above. Also the type of college you get into depends on the marks you get as all the colleges have different cutoffs for students depending on their reputation. |

Dear Aspirant, So after completing the diploma you need to give the lateral entry exam.That is known as the ECET exam. By this exam you can get in to the engineering colleges directly in to the 2nd year. So this exam is same like eamcet but with less competition when compared with the eamcet. So here you have a good chance of getting the good seat if you worked hard for the preparation. Hi Friend , If you wish to do engineering you need to give the entrance Exam for the same .There are many engineering entrance tests like MPPET,UPTU,,AIEEE,IIt etc. IIT-JEE : India's one of the toughest Examination to get in Top Engineering Colleges in India . AIEEE: If you get qualified in AIEEE then you will get seat in NIT's State Engineering Entrance Exams : To get admission in your state engineering colleges .like MPPET,UPTU,DCE etc But as you are 2009 passed out you have only one chance left for AIEEE, so make a best shot .You cant give IIT-JEE but you can appear in your State Entrance Exam. Good Luck!!! |

This admission procedure is known as LATERAL ENTRY SCHEME or DIPLOMA TO DEGREE course. after getting admission You will get admitted directly to second year.There are so many colleges and the procedures are different in all. Some take their own exam and some take admission through your percentage so You should have told the name of college in which you want admission so as to get the total information about procedure. |
