Dear friend,

MCA stands for Master in Computer Applications.
M.Sc stands for Master of Science.

Normally both are Post Graduation master's degree course and both have same value. There are various streams in which you can do M.Sc course like mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science etc. As you are comparing M.Sc and MCA so I think that you want to do M.Sc in Computer Science.

In M.Sc course in Computer Science you will get the knowledge of Software with Hardware also. Where as in MCA course you will get the knowledge of only softwares. But in point of view of job MCA course is far better than M.Sc course.

Those who want to make their career in Web Development, Software Development, Database Administration, Hardware and Networking, MCA course is best. Those who want to make their career in Hardware and Networking, Information Security, VSLI/Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Wireless Communication etc., M.Sc course is best.
