Re: What are the job opportunities after B.Tech? Hello, B.tech stands for the Engineering degre. If you want to do B.tech, then its a write choice. First of all you have to chose the trade, In which trade you want to do B.tech course. There are following trades given below : Civil Engg. Mechanical Engg. Electrical Engg. Electronics & Communication Engg. Computer Engg. Information Technology. Electronic Engg. Instrumentation Engg. Chemical Engg. Aeonutical Engg. Automobile Engg. ETC.................. You can choose one trade given above. According to above given trades you can find the jobs opportunities. So, First chose a stream in which you want to go then apply for it. Here followinh some details about the above given trades. That are : CIVIL ENGG. : Civil engg is known as the mother of all engineering. It deals with the Construction, maintanance of Artificial and natural structures like as Bridge, Railways, Flyovers, Dams and Buildings. JOB OPPORTUNITIES : After B.tech in civil engg. you have lot of job opportunities in different- different fields. You can join Defense as an officer. You can join Railways. You can also join Govt. and private Sector. You can join Government construction companies and go for Govt. works. Following are some companies you can go for job after completing your B.tech with minimum 60% marks. NTPC, BHEL, Steel, Nhpc, Hew, CPWD, and many of the hydro projects. Mechanical Engg. : It deals with the machinary and automobile works like machines, spare part of machines and other machinary parts. As being B.E. graduate you can apply for many exam which is UPSC Civil Service Examinations Indian Engineering Service Exams. Combined Defence Services Exams. IBPS exam For Banking sector PO/MT or Clerk Government Industries exam NTPC ONGC BHEL SAIL GAIL Best Of luck |

HEllo guest !! there are various job opputiunity after B.TECH every company give preference to the employee who have completed B.tech person are easily hired after completing their B.tech. so,you must have 70%+ in your final degree of B.tech to get hired easily. percentage less than this will make it tough to get you hired. |

Well dear you have not mentioned your branch in which you have done your b.tech.you can apply for job in various core companies like ntpc bhel iocl gail sail bsnl bel pgcil npcil.some of these take throug gate score and some conduct their own exam.so you have to apply for gate exam also. Well dear you can also apply for ies exam to get a good government job.ies exam is conducted every year by upsc.best of luck |

There are many career prospects and the job options which are available for the B.Tech course of study.There are both the government jobs and also the private job options which are available and you can get in to any of these sectors after completing your B.Tech course of study. Some of the jobs you can apply are as under- 1. UPSC Civil Services- After completing your Bachelor of technology you can apply for the civil services such as the IAS/IPS and it needs any bachelor degree to be completed for appearing to the civil services examinations . 2. IBPS- This is the one of the Banking sector which is the public sector banks there are totally 19 banks which are participating in the recruitment criteria.this examination is conducted for two types of posts mainly they are.. clerical and PO's and you are eligible for the both the examinations.After completing your bachelor degree course you can apply for the PO Examinations. 3. APPSC Group Examination these examinations are conducted for the different types of posts which are of the public sector and you can apply for these after completing your B.Tech course of study. *You can also apply for the other categories of posts also after completing your B.Tech both the private and Public sectors and many jobs will be depending on the course of study which you belong to and some of the organisations which recruits the B.Tech graduates depending on your course of study which you belong to are.Top IT Companies in India are :- >>NTPC >>ONGC >>BHEL >>BHPV >>Steel Plant >>Sail >>Gail >>HCL >>BSNL >>TCS >>Wipro >>Infosys >>MTNL >>Satyam,etc.. |

There are a HUGE number of job opportunities once a candidate becomes an Engineer. Though you have not mentioned you are a B.Tech in which branch, I would still give you the best options available. See from your post, its very clear that you are not having any plans of studying any further.. So talking of the job opportunities, first of all I would highlight the IT Sector. Top IT Companies in India are :- TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, HCL, Accenture, and many others. So these companies are usually mass recruiters and they conducted placement drives throughout the year in various parts of the country. So you can well try in these companies for IT Jobs irrespective of your B.Tech stream. As per the common Eligibility Criteria, you should be a minimum graduate in B.E/B.Tech from a recognized college or university with over 60% aggregate in it with no pending arrears. There are government jobs open in the PSU's in which you can find scope. You should apply for the GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and then based on your performance in that you can get calls from the PSU's though the competition is stiff. There are Banking jobs always open for the posts of Clerks and Probationary Officers. You can apply for the IBPS PO/Clerical and SBI PO/Clerical entries and make a career in the banking sector.. Other Government jobs are AFCAT for Air Force, CDS for Defense, SCRA, IPS, IAS, i.e Civil Services, and others such.. Of course doing MBA would also fetch you much more jobs, So try for that if working is not urgent for you as of now.. Hope this helps All the best Regards RANJEET |

It depends on the subject you have studied and your level of professional competency. In general B.tech holders can join to engineer positions in PSU like CONCOR, IOCL and BHEL. It is possible for them to join as Specialist Officer in banks. They can get to engineering services by qualifying IES exam. |
