Re: How much percentage is required in B.Ed in general category? Normally 50% marks are required for general category student for applying for B.Ed. 5% relaxation for SC/ST students. Some university take entrance test for B.Ed. |

For doing B.Ed one must have passed the 10th and 12th standard exams with a minimum of 50% in aggregate for general category irrespective of stream. Also in graduation fir the general category one must have 50% or more to be eligible to get the degree. |

Re: How much percentage is required in B.Ed in general category?  •> As per the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE), the minimum percentage of marks required to pursue Bachelor of Education is 45% in graduation, but there are very few institutes which considers students who have scored less then 50% marks. •> As per the eligibility criteria of many Institutes, candidate must have scored a minimum of 55% marks to be considered eligible for the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. •> Bachelor of Education is one year long degree which is generally pursued by candidates who want to become teacher. This course can be pursued only after having completed graduation. •> If you want to become teacher in private school or the government school, Bachelor of Education degree is mandatory. You won't be accepted by any good private college without B.Ed degree while the Teachers Eligibility Test for government teaching job also requires B.Ed degree. > During this one year course the candidate is trained to teach certain subjects to the students. These subjects are determined from the graduation degree of the candidate. For example if you have completed Bachelor of Arts then you will receive training for Geography, History and Languages. Similarly for Bachelor of Commerce graduates, Maths would be the subject. ♦>> B.Ed Eligibility :~ 1. Course: Bachelor degree like B.A B.Com etc. 2. Marks: No less than 50 percent for General students. 3. Marks: 45 percent for OBC. 4. Marks: 40 percent or more for Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe. 5. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having Graduation in Arts, Science and Commerce with 50% marks from a recognised University is eligible to apply for B.Ed. |

Re: How much percentage is required in B.Ed in general category? Dear.. Its good that you want to go in teaching profession which is most safe and recession free career option. If you want to have a B.ed degree then you must have :- Qualification needed are as follows :- 1. A graduation degree is a must 2. Degree must be valid from a UGC recognized university 3. A valid entrance exam score 4. No age limit 5. Percentage varies due to cut off system 6. However there is no minimum percentage required You have to gor for entrance exam of your state which is not at all tough to crack and after that you can do B.ed. A months preparation can help you to clear the entrance exam. B.ed is a one yaer course that makes you eligible for teaching till class 10th. Hope it will help Cheers...!!! |

Hi Aspirant B.ED Means Bachelor in Education course and b.ed is a good course actually for the persons specially who are looking for the government teaching jobs or even for the private teaching jobs. As these days for the most of the teaching jobs first you need a b.ed degree and than only the school or colleges will recruit as these days b.ed is the must qualification degree for the most of the teaching jobs. For the b.ed their is not a big qualification required as just need a graduation degree from a recognized Indian university for the b.ed course. Qualifications Required for the B.ED Course : -The Candidate must be pass in the graduation degree -Final year person are also eligible for the exam -The Candidate should have minimum 50% marks in the graduation degree -Also for the obc and reserve categories their is relaxation of 5% marks -The Candidate should be a citizen of India Best of luck |
