My simple suggestion to you would be not to apply for MBBS. It absolutely makes no sense. What is the point of first doing Nursing course and then applying for MBBS to become doctor. You will be wasting 4 years of study done to complete B.Sc in Nursing.

Coming to your point. There is no lateral entry in MBBS. At least not in India. If any university tries to lure you with such degree, please stay away. The Medical Council of India has strictly said that it does not recognize any such degree.

Therefore forget about lateral entry. Which means that after spending four years in B.Sc Nursing, you will be spending next 5 and half year in MBBS. Because having completed B.Sc in Nursing would not get you a direct entry for MBBS.

You will have to follow the same procedure followed by everyone else. Which means that you will have to appear for NEET entrance exam. Please note that PMT has been replaced by NEET from 2013. In fact all medical entrance exams have been replaced by NEET from 2013 onwards.

Your admission in MBBS would be based on the performance in NEET entrance exam. I will suggest you to instead apply for some job. There are various government hospitals in the country that need nurses.

The Public Service Commission is responsible for recruiting nurses for the government hospitals in the country. You can also join Indian Army as a nurse and take care of soldiers injured during war and terror operations.

Private hospitals are also another option that you can consider. The pay is some top private hospitals is extremely good. Apart from that some private companies also hire nurses. Steel Authority of India, which is a PSU, conducts entrance exam to hire Nursing graduates. You can apply for that.
