Re: Can we do IPCC after graduation as a T.Y.B.Com student? The graduates are given exemption from appearing for the Common Proficiency Test but only if they manage to meet certain criteria. As you may know that earlier it was essential for all to appear for Common Proficiency Test. However the new rules from ICAI has made it possible for the graduates to skip Common Proficiency Test. Below is the condition of exemption: 1. Must complete commerce graduation with at least 55 percent marks. 2. Non commerce graduation should be completed with 60 percent marks. If you are failing to meet this criteria that regardless of what are the circumstances for you, it would be necessary to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. You will not be given any exemption at all. Here you will have to appear for the Common Proficiency Test which is conducted twice in a year. There are four sections in it that are divided into 2 groups. Score at least 30 percent marks in each group and you will qualify the Common Proficiency Test. However if you are meeting the criteria for skipping Common Proficiency Test then go ahead with applying for the IPCC course. IPCC Group 1 1. Accounting 2. Business Laws,Ethics and Communication 3. Cost Accounting and Financial Management 4. Taxation Group 2 5. Advanced Accounting 6. Auditing and Assurance 7. Information Technology and Strategic Management |

If you want to get direct admissionin the IPCC stage than if you are a B.COM than you need to score minimum aggregate of 55% marks in B.COM to get exemption from appearing in the CPT exams. A candidates can get exemption from giving the CPT exams if he/she has studied atleast 3 papers from the below list of papers. Accounting, Auditing, Mercantile Laws, Corporate Laws, Economics, Management including Financial Management, Taxation including Direct Tax Laws, Indirect Tax Laws etc., Costing, Business Administration, Management Accounting For the Non Commerce Graduates, if they have scored more than 60% marks in Graduation, they get exemption from appearing in the CPT exams |

You can do this course if:- 1.You have qualified CPT. 2.You have completed your graduation with 55% if you are from Commerce stream. There are two groups in IPCC:- 1.Group I. 2.Group II. Group I contains 4 subjects while Group II contains 3 subjects. You can go for the next stage of articleship after qualifying Group I of IPCC. You can appear for both the groups at one attempt or you can individually appear for both the groups. To qualify IPCC,you should get 40% in each subject and overall 50%. Thanks. |
