Re: How should I register for IPS after graduating in Bengali Hons? If you are a Graduate in Bengali honours then you can apply for IPS examination. Just take care that your age is between 21 to 30 years when you are applying for it. You can apply for IPS exam by visiting the official UPSC website http://www.upsconline.nic.in There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST , 3 years for OBC category. The exam is known as Civil Services examination through which you can become IPS officer. So you can apply for Civil Services examination when the notifications are announced in the Employment news and UPSC official website. The examination pattern for UPSC Civil Services exam is given below: -Civil Services Aptitude Test -Civil Services Mains Exam -Interview Those who get in merit list after above examination will stand an chance of getting selected as IPS officer. Minimum Educational Qualifications are: The candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification. Age :- 21 years to 35 years, age relaxation for reserved candidates as per Govt guide lines i.e 3 years in upper limit for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. No. of Attempts:- 4 for General , 7 for OBC and no limit for reserved categories,PH,ex service men |
