TET is Teachers Eligibility Test which is conducted for recruiting teachers in Government Schools.

Those who qualify TET are only eligible for Government Teachers post. It is compulsory now for those who want a Government teachers job.

Those who have done B.Ed. from a UGC recognised University can apply for TET .

B.Ed. is the course which is done after the Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognised University. Most of the Universities required 50 % marks in Graduation for B.Ed course admission.

Every state conducts their own TET examination. There is a Central TET examination conducted by CBSE for recruitment of teachers in Central Government schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya and Jawahar Navodaya schools.

The TET paper will be according to your Graduation subject . Hence you have to be well prepared in your subjects if you really want to qualify TET .

If you are aiming to become a teacher in KVs and Jawahar Navodaya then you have to apply for CTET .
