Re: Am I eligible for IES Exam for the year 2013 being a candidate with a date of birth 11-03-1992? hello friend...!! ->Yes , You are applicable for IES exam 2013 because your date of Birth is 11-mar-1992 .So at 2013 your age may be above 21 years. ->IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. ->If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam 1.Civil Engineering 2.Electrical Engineering 3.Mechanical engineering. 4.Electronics and Communication Engineering. ->The written exam is conducted basing on the subjects from the stream of Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Electronics & Telecommunication only. ->Hence the candidate from other stream though eligible to apply for IES but has to write the exam from any one stream mentioned above. thank u...!!! all the best...!! |

 For The age criteria for IES age is considered as on the 1 August of the year of the examination. the age of the candidate must be 21 and not more than 30 years with some relaxation for SC/ST/Obc candidates but only in the upper limit. Next year on 1 August you would have completed 21 years of Age so you will be eligible for the IES exam. But there are certain other criteria also for eligibility also Educational Qualification -The candidate must be a degree holder in • Electrical Engineering • Electronics & Communications Engineering • Civil Engineering • Mechanical Engineering - Or equivalent from a recognized university -The candidate must have complete MSc. degree. Some special subjects like Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering are also acceptable for some posts -Those candidates who are in the final year of the required degree course are also eligible for it. Application procedure The applications can be made both online and offline. The offline application can be made till first week of March. The UPSC forms are available at various post offices at the cost of Rs. 20/- You will have to attach Rs. 100/- through central Recruitment Fee Stamp. However no fees will be charged to the schedule caste, schedule tribe, female and physically handicapped candidates. The notification for examination is usually out in the last week of January for the filling up of application forms. The exam is usually conducted in the last week of June. These exams last for three days. however exact dates are not declared yet. |

With a date of birth of 11.03.1992, you became 21 years in 2013, so you are eligible to apply for IES. IES - INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICE conducted by UPSC once every year for recruitment of Engineers in the top technical post in the various Dept. i.e. Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Electronics & Telecommunication Dept. under Central Govt. The candidate having either appear for the final B.Tech. Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate, is eligible to apply for IES. The candidate must be an Indian National. The selection is through written exam followed by personal Interview. The written exam is conducted basing on the subjects from the stream of Mechanical/Electrical/Civil/Electronics & Telecommunication only. Hence the candidate from other stream though eligible to apply for IES but has to write the exam from any one stream mentioned above. For more information you may log on to http://www.upsc.gov.in |

If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.Final year student also eligible for IES exam . The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate. Re: Am I eligible for IES Exam for the year 2013 being a candidate with a date of birth 11-03-1992? The minimum age required to be eligible to appear for this exam is 21 years. Also as per the notification for the 2012 exams the candidates who were born after 1st January 1991 were not eligible to appear for the exam. There is no relaxation in this condition for candidates belonging to any category. So you will be not be eligible for the 2013 exams. So there is sufficient time to prepare well for the exam. |
