Re: How much marks are needed to clear GATE exam? I am MSc statistics student, so MA becomes the code paper for me. So as the paper consists questions from both the topics i.e. Maths ans Statistics, so I need to know how much marks is sufficient for me to qualify GATE ? |

Re: How much marks are needed to clear GATE exam? Hello. Eligibility criteria for GATE exam is listed below:- You should have completed graduation or Bachelor degree. With minimum 55% of marks. You should not have any backlog in graduation as well as in Bachelor Degree. You age should be in between 21-30 years of age. The minimum requirement need to qualify GATE exam is listed below:- FOR GENERAL CATEGORY->25 FOR OBC CATEGORY->22.50 FOR SC/ST CATEGORY->16.67 I hope you got it. |

Re: How much marks are needed to clear GATE exam? In IIT Kanpur for CSE its 700. For ECE its 750 For getting interview call from IIT's the cut off is 600. This i think will give you a rough idea about the cut off marks of similar institutions. |

INFORMATION ON GATE :- GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING This is one of the top most Post Graduation Entrance Exams conducted by the IIT's every year for the M.Tech candidates selection and also for the PSU recruitments. Now the Basic Eligibility Criteria to take up GATE is that you should be a minimum graduate/final year appearing in the streams like B.E/B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Pharmacy. ALSO there is no age nor attempt limits. So you can apply as many times as you want. This exam is organized and conducted every year in the month of February. If you want to know about the Cut Off marks of the Latest GATE 2012, Branch wise and quota wise, Please CLICK HERE This has all the statistics and so you can easily estimate the marks required to clear GATE. Also for your information, I must tell you that the maximum marks of the GATE is out of 100. I have secured 95.2% in 10+2 and i have also secured AIEEE rank of B.E./B.Tech B.Arch All India Rank Overall 36749 ------ Category 27968 ------ State Rank Overall 6054 ------ Category 4318 ------ can i able to get B-tech seat in psg college of engineering.? |

Re: How much marks are needed to clear GATE exam? GATE Eligibility Criteria:- To give the GATE exam you need to have a degree in technology, engineering or architecture. Even final year students can apply for this exam. Its important to have minimum 55-60% marks at graduation level. Master degree holder with a degree in science, mathematics, computer science or statistics are also eligible to give this exam. There is no age bar for giving this exam and your GATE score will be valid for two years. At the most you can give this exam for three times. GATE Cut off:- In IIT Kanpur for CSE its 700.
