TNPSC stands for the Tamil Nadu Public service commission.It is conducted by the state government of the Tamil Nadu.

The eligibility criteria for the TNPSC exam is as follow:

Academic requirement:

The basic requirement is that you should have done your graduation that is bachelor's degree from a university recognized by UGC.Final year candidates are also eligible for the examinations.

So ,b.tech final year students are also allowed to apply for the examinations.

Note: For some posts ,10+2 is the minimum requirement.


Age criteria:The age limit is 21-30 years with relaxations applicable for the OBC and sc/st respectively.

Yes, B Terch final year students can apply for TNPSC exam..

TNPSC – Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission

Eligibility criteria for TNPSC Exam –

Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

Final year students can also apply.

Candidate’s age should be between 21 years and 30 years.

( Relaxation in age , upto 33 years for OBC, upto 35 years for Sc / ST)

* Age relaxation- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contendors.

Now as per your ask , i would like to tell you that you can absolutely give the TNPSC Exam being a B.Tech Final Year Student.

the minimum educational qualification required for this exam is you should have passed 12th from any recognized board.

iam a b.tech student of ECE.completed mt 4 sem exams of this month and waiting for my results.do i have a chance to apply for group 4 which is having 25 may as the last day

forms comes in feb,exams in april.
they are applicable to both appearing and passed engg. students.

Yes you are equally eligible for writing TNPSC exam, but you have to see whether the last semester result is available till the counselling of TNPSC exam.

This year the written test for the same already occured in May. You can apply next year for the TNPSC. The application starts in the month of november to december.

I AM IN B.TECH FINAL YEAR WITH ONE BACKLOG.CAN I GIVE TEST FOR RECRUITMENT OF NTPC AND BHEL? WHAT IS THE SELECTION PROCEDURE AND WHEN WILL BE RECRUITMENT?

yea ofcourse you should write the exam . this will save your time. actually syllabus for TNPSCare the same as up to final year . then you won't have to do extra labour and you can easily qualify this exam. so ...don't waste your time in thinking . you can do .
