Re: What is the age limit for NDA registration? Dear friend NDA stands for National Defence Academy. NDA exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice time in a year. The age limit for NDA exam is:- The Minimum age limit is 16.5 years and the Maximum age limit is 19 years. There is no age relaxation on this exam. Candidate should be an Indian Citizen. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to apply NDA exam. Candidate must have completed 10+2 exam of a recognized School or Board and studying in the final year of 12th examination may also eligible to apply for Army wings. Those Candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCM subjects from a recognized board they are eligible to apply Indian Navy and Air force wings . All the best........ |

The abbreviation of NDA is National Defense Academy. Union Public Service Commission organizes National Defense Academy exam every year for two times as NDA-I and II respectively. National Defense Academy exam is organized for Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. National Defense Academy exam is organized in these two months below mentioned:- # April. # August. The age criteria and relaxation regarding with National Defense Academy exam are below mentioned:- # 16.5-19 years. # Relaxation:- There is no need of relaxation for age to any category opponents. NDA has three wings: Indian Army Indian Air force Navy Eligibility: Age limit: Your age limit should be between 16.5 to 19 years. There is no age relaxation for other categories. The candidate should pass the 12th standard for any recognized state board of India. You should be citizen of India. Only unmarried male candidiates are eligible for this exam. Female candidates are not eligible. The candidate should physically & Medically fit for this exam. all the best............. |

Please do not feel odd and realize the fact that the NDA and UPSC don't even know you that they would be unfair specially with you. The age criteria for the NDA has forever been between 16.5 to 19 years. There has been no alteration to it. NDA - National Defense Academy. This is organzied by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year in the months of April and August FOR THE Male 12th pass candidates ONLY. In fact this year in the Notification its CLEARLY WRITTEN that "Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1994 and not later than 1st July, 1996 are eligible" So you can say that the LOWER AGE LIMIT for the NDA 2013 is 16.5 years i.e from 1st July 1996 till now and UPPER AGE LIMIT for the NDA 2013 is 19 years i.e from 2nd January 1994 till now. So its very clear that anybody at the age of 14/15 years CANNOT APPLY FOR THE NDA 2013 Exam i.e both NDA I/II. Hence if you do not fall within these limits, I am afraid that you would have to wait for the correct time and year for your eligible candidature. Other Criteria's are : Unmarried Male Candidates, Minimum 12th pass candidate, Physical and Mental fitness is a must for it. Also ONLY Science candidates are open to apply for all the 3 wings of NDA, but the Arts and Commerce wings students can only apply for the Army. The Examination is conducted twice in a year in the months of April and August as NDA-I & NDA-II respectively. The Qualifications Required for NDA Examination are : a) Age Criteria : * Your age should lie in between 6.5-19 years. * No Relaxation is granted in age to candidates of any category. b) Nationality : Indian c) Educational Qualification : * You must have completed 12th with PCM from any recognized board. * Appearing Candidates of standard 12th are also eligible but only for NDA-I. d) Sex : Male e) Marital Status : Unmarried. f) Physical standards :  This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. NDA-National Defence Academy. Details about the NDA exam is given below. NDA has three types of wings:- Indian navy, Indian army, Indian airforce. Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should have to complete 12th standard or any equivalent. The 12th standard must be complete from a recognised board or university. You don't have to score specific percentage in your 12th standard because there is criteria asks about percentage in 12th standard. You must be an INDIAN origin. You must be physically fit to clear this exam. Minimum age for NDA exam is 16.5 years and the maximum age is 19 years. Unmarried and male candidates are only eligible. Selection process:- Written test, SSB interview, Medical test. Syllabus:- Genera ability has 300marks and Mathematics has 300marks, i.e for total of 600marks is conducted the written exam. So for NDA exam minimum age is 16.5 years and Maximum age is 19 years Based on 2nd January 2014 cutoff for the 14th April 2013 exams only Candidates born between 2nd January 1995 to 1st July 1997 can apply. So thats why you cannot apply for the NDA exams anymore |

Only unmarried male candidates can apply. +2 pass is the educational qualification required. Those having studied Physics and mathematics can apply for Navy and Air Force also. |
