So you are eligible after completing your graduation degree..... Dear Friend , The Examination for the post of IPS is taken by Civil Services Examination which is conducted every year by the Union public Service Commission. As you have completed your BCA successfully , you are absolutely eligible to appear in the exam because the educational qualification you require in order to give the exam is you must have a bachelors degree in any stream from any recognized college / university. The other most important thing that you need is your age must be in between 21-30 years. If you fulfill the above mentioned , then you need not to worry about any thing and can appear in the exam. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. hope the information will help you to the extent you want. |

Re: Am I eligible to take IPS exam after completing BCA from Assam? why not! you are definetely eligible for appearing in this examination,conducted by UPSC every year. you have completed your graduation from a recognized university. for appearing in this exam you must be a indian nationality , the age exist for this exam is 21-30 years for a general candidates. there are 5 & 3 years relaxation for SC\ST and OBC candidates. |

Yes, you can apply....for that---- Eligibility Criteria for IPS: Educational qualification: You should have completed your graduation in any discipline from any recognized university. Age limit: Should have crossed 21 years. But should not have crossed 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs . Physical Standard: Height – Male 165 cm Eye sight – 6/6 or 6/9 Blood pressure (High) – Age 23 – 123, age 24 – 124, age 25 –122, age 28 – 124, age 30 –125, age 32 – 126, age 34 – 127. Others: Good listening & normal ear cavity. Candidate should not stammer while speaking. So all the best! |

The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field. Age limitation is between 21-30 years for the general , 21-33 years for the OBC and 21-35 years for the OBC. General categories get 4 , SC/St get unlimited , OBC get 7 attempts to clear the exam. You need to first clear the CSAT before appearing for the mains. More details: http://www.upsc.gov.in/.
