M.Tech is master degree and if any student have a master degree(technical) than they have many option.
So M.Tech in biotechnology has very good scope you will get good job in private and public sector. or you can do research work and you will become senior lecturer in engineering colleges.

An MTech will only boost your career and will get your placed in top notch companies and you will get faster promotion and higher salaries than the BTech gradutes.

MTech in biotech is a good option. After your MTech you will get placed in top pharmaceutical companies. As i said before you will get a higher post in the company.

In short you will have more scope for success in this field

Biotechnology is one of the best branch for those who are good in understanding chemistry. Obviously there are advantages in doing M.Tech because it provides you to get more specialisation. It'll get you most of the best oppurtunities for getting a job and M.Tech provides you advantage over B.Tech students.

Biotechnology is an emerging field. After your post graduation in Biotechnology you can take up teaching profession if you are interested in academics. You can also work in laboratories, research and development. Biotechnologists are also recruited as quality managers food industry.

Just BSc/BTech in biotechnology is not enough to make a good career in this field. Hello friend,In the coming few years, there's going to be many job oppurtunities in this field because according to the experts, more than 150 foreign firms are likely to outsource research and development jobs in India.
Apart from that, job prospects in the field of biotechnology in present scenario is not bad too. If you hold a masters degree in biotechnology, You may join biotech companies, government bodies, can also approach for managerial position in agri-biotech firms and ofcourse teaching is one of the better options.

as far as now not many institutes giving m.tech in biotechnology as B.E biotechnology is of a new course...doing M.S in any specialized field is far more better than doing m.tech as m.tech does not include any specialization.the subjects will be a revision of b.tech subjects only and with some extra lab woks......
