Any one who seeks to pursue Diploma program in Engineering stream from the Karnataka State Open University [KCOU], must have passed the Xth with Mathematics. The duration of the program is three years and comprises of six semesters. Provision for lateral entry is there for the students, who have either passed the +2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Xth with ITI. Candidates having the aforementioned qualification are eligible for direct entry in to the third semester [2nd year] through lateral entry. The Fee for the Diploma program is Rs. 10,000 per semester.
