But giving too many exams are of no use and simultaneously it decreases a kind of risk factor when it comes to not getting the colleges we expected. Out of the many exams I would suggest you the following: 1. IITJEE(Admission to IITs) 2. AIEEE(Admission to NITs and other central govt. institutes) 3. VITEEE(Admission to VIT) 4. ISAT(Admission to Indian space sciencea nd research organisation) 5. BITSAT(For admission to birla institute of tech nology) 6. COMET(For getting admission to colleges of Banglore) 7. WBJEE(Colleges of west bengal) 8. Your own home state engineering Exams The one marked in red are most important All the Best |

There are atleast 10-15 entrance exams you can give after your 12th as you have PCM at 12th. The list is given below with the details of the exams :- 1) All India Engineering Entrance Exam(AIEEE) 2) IIT-JEE. 3) BITS Admission Test 4) All India Common Entrance Test(AICET) 5) Indian Institute of Maritime Studies Entrance Exam(IIMSEE) 6) National Aptitude Test in Architecture(NATA) 7) National Institute of Technology (NIT) etc. AIEEE Exam details :- It is a exam which enables you to admit into the engineering colleges all over india like IIT,NIT,deemed universities, government funded institutions. Re: Being a 12th class student what engineering exams should i opt for? hi dear IIT is considered to be the toughest one and not many students opt for it........ other exams like.....aieee,vieee,manipal,bitsat are tne exams which an average student can attempt and can expect to crack it....... to test your level just attempt a mock test from any private coaching classes or you can do it online..........it will tell you where do you stand and what is your prepairation......... thanks |

Hello guys i am currently appearing in 10 2 session 2010-2011 from Punjab state board and i am in a big trouble all the forms are out for various engineering entrance exam in India but still i have submitted the application form for viteee but i want to take admission in any delhi university only [private or gov.] cause my parents wont allow me to go and study away from them...... so is there any other option still left for me or i have to drop this year and please tell me can i get admission in any other private or gov. institute in delhi after passing viteee ?? please help ! thank you ! |

Re: Being a 12th class student what engineering exams should i opt for? there are lots of engineering entrance examination after 10+2. but the best institution of engineering in India are IITs. to take admission in IIT you have to crack IIT JEE examination. so i will tell you to prepare for this examination to take admission in IIT. other one all india basis engineering entrance exam is AIEEE. also appear in this examination. there are also many entrance examination fo engineering in state basis to take admission in that particular state. like for west bengal state WBJEE examination is there to take admission in engineering in west bengal state. so there must be one entrance examination for your state also. appear in that examination also. best of luck. |

All depends on your interest.If you are interested in automobiles and machinaries go for mechanical and if you passionate for chemicals for go for chemical engineering.But if you have no interest than go for civil engineering.It has very good future in upcoming years. Re: Being a 12th class student what engineering exams should i opt for? hey, Choosing a career is a very big decision. It completely depends on your interest and what you want to be in life. There are many entrance exams as suggested by others in this post and you will be eligible for all of them but as for example you can opt for regular B.Sc and take a NIIT software course and you can get a good job instead of doing B.tech with computer science.
