Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest branch of engineering. So, almost every engineering colleges offers B.Tech/B.E. degree course in Mechanical engineering. There are only very few engineering colleges in India which don't have Mechanical engineering branch. Mechanical engineering is the core branch of engineering. It has unlimited scope in every field. Being a Mechanical Engineer you can get job in Aerospace field, Defense sector, Public Sector companies, chemical industries, automobile companies etc. Mechanical engineering is only branch of engineering which will never suffer from recession and have unlimited job opportunities.
