Re: Procedure for join Ph.D after MCA? Which stream is good? Hi i am Sidram. I have completed my MCA in 2015, currently working as a test engineer. I have 74% in my master degree. I wanted to know the list of few topics which are related to computer application to do PHD. Please suggest me if any university located in Bangalore. Or please suggest me the university websites so that i can go through it. Thank you |

But to get admission for P.hd, you have to be a 1st class in masters or post graduation. i.e 60% in MCA. The colleges which offers the course are: -Delhi University -Anna University -Jamia Milia Islamia University -Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University You have to contact the university and among them, some may take yearly entrance exams. |

Indian Institute of Technology,Kanpur Indian Institute of Technology,Delhi Indian Institute of Technology,Mumbai Indian Institute of Technology,Guwhati Indian Institute of Technology,Hyderabad To take admission in those institute you should have the MCA degree with a valid GATE score in CS or IT or ECE. Minimum Duration: 2 Years Maximum Duration: 5 Years From those institute you will get scholarship from the central Government up to 20,000/-per month. Beside those institutions there are so many institutions like: National Institute of Technology Calicut (NITC) Department of Computer Science, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Symbiosis Institute Of Computer Studies & Research(SICSR), Pune, Bengal Engineering and Science University(BESU), Kolkata Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), Chennai Indira Gandhi National Open University(IGNOU) |

Since you are specialising in computer application you could any area in this stream. You must approach the university near you to know about the procedure of the same. For most of them you will need to clear an entrance exam. Since you are interested in the research field you can appear for the NET+JRF exam. |
