I passed out 12th class and I am from science stream I want to do BCA. Can I go for it or BCA is done from only commerce stream?

Hello dear,

Actually , A science student can go either way but BCA best suits commerce students only rather than Science candidates.
Bachelor of Computer Application BCA is a course about
information technology and computer applications like multimedia, visual graphics, C++ etc.

Eligibility:
[FONT=Trebuchet MS][SIZE=2]
10+2 or equivalent / 3 year diploma from state board of technical education.

[/SIZE][/SIZE][/FONT][FONT=Trebuchet MS][SIZE=2][SIZE=2]
[SIZE=2] [/SIZE]HSC (10+2) or equivalent examination from any board with minimum 45% of marks in aggregate(40 % in case of SC/ST candidates).

Sir i have science steam in 12 and i want to apply for b.ca in ip university so can u tell me that which subject they will choose for my eligibility..... Or how many subject it will choose from 6 subject.... I have FT in physics (fail in theory) so can i select hindi as a subject...so can u tell me about all ths thng as soon as you can tell

Student of any subject in class 12 can do B.C.A.

The basic requirements in most of the colleges for BCA is a 50% marks in 12th with either maths or computer as a subject and english as a compulsory subject.

As the whole syllabus is in english so english should be strong.

The educational qualification for BCA graduation is plus two with mathematics or computer science. Plus two with 50% marks are required. English subject is mandatory. So, both commerce and science students are eligible for BCA admissions. So please find your own area of interest.

for getting admission to BCA ,science stream is not mandatory.
A art stream student can get BCA as well.
So don't worry ,just go for it.

It is not essential to have science in 12th for getting admission in BCA.

The basic requirements in most of the colleges for BCA is a 50% marks in 12th with either maths or computer as a subject and english as a compulsory subject.

So science, commerce and arts students can apply for BCA if they have either maths or computer.

That's very good that you are interested in commerce and Maths...That combination is acceptable for BCA.

So you can go with that combination if you are uninterested in science.
