Re: How to apply for income tax officer exam after passing B.Com with first division Dear Friend, To apply for Income Tax Officer exam, The minimum age should be 18 & maximum 27. You have to apply for the Preliminary exam which may be published in the month of April (approx.) every year in Employment News, Gazette of India etc. & in some of the leading newspapers. Preliminary exam take's place in the months of May or June which consists of two papers. Paper A. General Intelligence and General Awareness and Paper B. Arithmetic . Once you qualify this exam, you have to appear for the Final Exam. Final exam consists of two parts. Part A is written exam & Part B is Personality Test. After qualifying this exam, you have to appear for the interview. The average pay scale of Income Tax Officer is Rs.6,500-Rs.10,500. These are the fixed as per Government Of India & this may change time to time with new pay commission. Thank You, Gadi2008 |

If you want to apply for the Income tax officer then you have to go for the exam of SSC CGL held once in a year. Details are as follows :- A candidate must be a graduate Graduation must be done from a recognized university Age limit is 20-27 No relaxation to General candidates Relaxation is given to SC ST and OBC candidate No minimum percentage limit No subject criteria Exam is conducted once in a year Pattern :- 200 questions of 1 mark each will be asked. Sections are :- English Data analysis GK Reasoning Total marks :- 200 In post preference you can fill Income tax officer as your priority as there are many posts available and you have to choose as per your career plan, ease and the area of interest so that is why you have to choose wisely while filling up the form of SSC Combined graduate level exam Hope it will help Cheers...!!! |

Income Tax officer exam is conducted by the SSC(Staff Selection Commission) every year. Eligibility criteria:- The applicant should be complete graduation in any stream from a recognised university of India. So, a candidate will be eligible from any stream of graduation. Percentage is not needed to appear this examination. The applicant should be an Indian origin. Age criteria and relaxation details:- The age limits are 18 years to 27 years, There is a relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates, There is a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Selection process:- ***Tier-I examination, ***Tier-II examination, ***Personal interview. Syllabus:- General english, General awareness, General intelligence and reasoning, Quantitative aptitude. You can apply for it because you are a B.Com Graduate. So start preparing for the exam as soon as possible. The age should be between 18 to 27 years if you are a General Category candidate. There is 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC Category candidates. 10 years age relaxation for Physically handicapped is also available. Examination Pattern: -TIER I will be an 200 marks objective type paper -Those who qualify TIER I will be called for TIER II. TIER II will have two papers according to the post. -TIER III will either interview or skill test according to the post. This Exam is called Combined Graduate level exam. Eligibilty for this Exam is Graduation pass in any stream AGE- Minimum 18 years Maximum 27 years 3 years age relaxations for OBC candidates, 7 years for SC/ST candidates Tier 1 Exam of the SSC Combined Graduate level will be held on 14th April 2013 and 21st April 2013. You will get anyone of the dates.
