1st discover which is ur strongest subject (p/c/m) .. improve it that well that u atleast get 90-100 marks in it .. for eg.. my strongest was mathematics .. i focused most in it rather ponderring on chm. which is my weakest part .. i secured 104 in physics . 2nd .. improve important chapters of 2nd subject .. my physics ---- 88 3rd .. just learn the formulae and basic concepts of 3rd but that shud b serious .. my chem 71 and finally avoid much negative marking .. hope this helps .. Re: Important chapters to prepare for JEE Mains Hi JEE pattern is difficult to predict and it keeps changing from year to year. It also depend on the IIT conducting the IIT JEE exam that year. As far as important chapters are concerned. Follow the last year syllabus some of the topics are as follows Physics- 1 Rotation 2 Impulse momentum theorem 3 Electrostatics 4 Current and electromagnetism 5 AC current 6 Bernoulli theorem 7 Pascal law 8 Thermodynamics,heat transfer etc 9 nuclear physics ( most important) Maths- 1 Integral calculus 2 Differential calculus ( over view only) 3 Trigonometry 4 Complex numbers and vector 3D 5 Permutation and combination ,probability 6 Algebra 7 Coordinate geometry Chemistry- Name reaction with products General organic chemistry Polymers Solutions and electro chemistry Chemical kinetics Chemical equilibrium D block compounds . P block compounds etc Try to start with topic of your interest and excel it. if you take a difficult subject first, then you will loose interest very soon. You may follow the following books for different subjects H.C Verma for physics Resnick Halliday for physics M.L.Khanna for Mathematics comprehensive or objective chemistry by pradeep publication for chemistry. Re: Important chapters to prepare for JEE Mains Hi dear..  The chapters that cause much difficulty and which are asked much frequently in JEE mains are listed below. Practice questions related to these topics and you will score good in JEE mains. Mathematics :- Integral Calculus : (Most important , without this, you can't do anything) Permutation and Combination : (Most of the questions include permutation and Combinations even some of the physics numerical , so master this topic) Trignometry : Yet, another important topic. Chemistry :- Organic Chemistry ( Do practice all the reaction and understand the deep concept of how the reactions take place, and your 50% chemistry part is done) Do all the name reactions. Physics :- Motion Momentum Electrostatics and Magnetostatics Physics of XI class is very much important, so practice all numerical from the topic covered in +1, while +2 physics is comparatively easier, and does not need much revision. Practice from 34 Years IIT JEE by Arihant Series , and solve the papers accurately in Time limit. You will succeed . All the best..!! Regards Sammy |
