Indian Police Service. UPSC conducting the exam IPS every year once. The complete are given below.

Eligibility details:-The age limits are 21 years to 30 years,

3 years upper age relaxation for OBC category candidates,

5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates.


The candidate who need to apply this exam should be complete bachelor's degree or any equivalent degree from a recognised university.

No need of percentage restrictions to appear this examination.

The abbreviation of IPS is Indian Police Services.



The educational qualifications regarding with IPS exam are below mentioned:-

* Opponents must be completed their bachelor degree in any curriculum from any approved institution.

* The age criteria must be lie in between 21-30 years.

* The relaxation of age is assumed for OBC and SC/ST opponents is 3 and 5 years.

* Opponents must have an Indian citizenship.

* Opponents of last year are also preferable for this exam.

Its really an honour to become an IPS Officer. An IPS Officer heads the Police Services of a district.

The Union Public Service Commission [UPSC] conducts the Civil Services Examination every year through which any candidate who want to become an IPS Officer can fulfill his/her dream.

The examination is conducted every year and only those candidates can appear in the exam who fulfill the eligibility criteria set by UPSC.

These qualifications are :

* Graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university.

* There is no percentage bar for this exam.

* Candidates in final year of graduation are also allowed to appear.

* The candidates must belong to India.

* The candidates need to have the following age group :

a) For General Candidates : 21-30 years

b) For OBC Candidates : 21-33 years

c) For SC/ST Candidates : 21-35 years

* Physical Standards :


This Exam is conducted in three phases :


* Preliminary Examination

* MAINS Examination

* Interview


All the candidates need to pass all the three examinations only then you can be an IPS Officer.

If you are Aspiring to Become an IPS officer then you should have to apply for Civil Service Examination which is conducted by UPSC twice in year......

Final years students of graduation also eligible for it....

This exam not require any kind of percentage marks in graduation degree.....

Their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is +3 years and for SC/ST candidate is +5 years....

There are only 4 attempts available for General category For OBC 7 attempt limit and for SC/ST no attempt limit.....

IPS or Indian Police Services is a civil service exam which is popularly conducted by a commission named UPSC or Union Public Service Commission of india.

There are some other civil services exams are too there which are same popular as like IPS exam,and those civil service exams are as follows :


IES
IPS
IAS
IFS etc.


To appear for this exam,you must also have to satisfy certain eligibility conditions as these eligibility conditions are the key way to enter into any of the services as :

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

1.You must be graduate from recognized and well reputed university of india wih a minimum aggregate marks of 55-60% atleast.

2.Your age must be within 21-30 years.

3.You have a maximum of 4 attempts,if general and have 7 attempts otherwise.

4.You must be physically and mentally fit and strong.



Procedure to apply for IPS exam :

1.Satisfy the mentioned eligibility criteria's firstly.

2.Fill up the form either online or offline through this official website as follows :

3.Prepare for the entrance exam and join coaching classes if required.

To become an IPS(Indian Police Service) officer one has to get through Civil Service Examination conducted every year by UPSC.

Eligibility for IPS, Civil Service Exam:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National.
-Should have either appeared for the final Graduation degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.
-Should have possessed good Physical Fitness.

The candidate should have minimum physical requirement such as:-

-HEIGHT - General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm.

CHEST:- Male-84cm while Female-79cm expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The selction is through three phases:-

CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam

-CivilService main Exam

-Personal Interview

This exam is held in 3 stages:
Prelims
Mains
interview

Next Prelims exams is on 26th May 2013
You can fill the forms till 4th April 2013

Eligibilty to apply for this exams is:

Graduation pass in any stream
No minimum marks required in graduation

Age-Minimum 21 years
Maximum 30 years
Candidates belonging to OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations


ATTEMPTS- General candidates- 4 times
OBC- 7 times
SC/ST- No such restriction

I.P.S --- INDIAN POLICE SERVICES

To become Police officer you need to Write the I.P.S. exam

The minimum age must be 21 years

And the Maximum age is allowed up to 30 years

Of course there will be an Age relaxation for the reserved candidates


You must be an Indian Citizen

You need to go through the Website very often


This IPS exam is conducted by the U.P.S.C

IPS - Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

Besides this the aspiring candidate for IPS should have minimum physical requirement such as:-

Selection Procedure :

After applying the application form, then the UPSC has inviting you at mention dates for following tests conducted by the UPSC they include;.

>> Preliminary Examination,
>> Main Examination,
>> Interview.


Preliminary Exam :

Apart from first conducted the written test and this containing the 2 papers one is general studies and another one is the optional subjects selected by candidates.

Main Exam :

After qualifying the preliminary examination, called for main examination and interview and main exam containing the 9 papers, they include;.

>> One indian language,
>> English,
>> Essay,
>> General Studies I,
>> General Studies II,
>> Optional subject I- Two Papers,
>> Optional subject II- Two Papers.

You can become an IPS Officer by qualifying the selection test of UPSC. UPSC conducts civil services exam for the purpose. Selection process is conducted in two stages, prelims and mains. After qualifying these two levels, you need to qualify physical efficiency test. Medical standard test is also carried out.
