Re: Any chance to get a seat in any IIT or NIT after scoring 17000 rank in GATE with a score of 339 Hello 2000 Is a very good rank. first of all congratulation!  you didn't mention your stream so its very difficult to tell whether you get seat in IITs or not. Generally, for streams like ECE, MECH, CSE competition is very tough and for an OC student is hard to get a seat in IIT. A rank with 1000 below have fairly more chances but for 2000 even if you get you may have to compromise with your stream and take anything your getting. For an NIT I can surely tell u will get stream of your choice. NIT roorkela and warangal are the best you can try there. Wish you all the very best. |
