For IIM-A eligibility the candidate must hold a bachelor's degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. In case of the candidates belonging to SC,ST it is relaxed to 45%.

HI

IIM A is the top MBA institute in India.
It has the best infrastructure, best faculty and best placement as well
So the competition among student to get this college is very high.
Since the seats are limited and students appearing is very large.

you need to have a percentile of atleast 99.8+ to get a call from IIM A or IIM B.

You need to have good marks in 10th, 12th and graduation and also do well in GD PI to get selection.

Sir, i have got 61.4% in CBSE 10th and 57.4% in Jharkhand (State Board) 12th and 75% in B.Com (Accounts hons). So, if i get 99 in CAT, can i expect a call from IIM-A or other IIMS ?

Hi

With your marks its difficult to get calls from IIMs. However, you should definately go for CAT, as there are many colleges who takes candidates based on CAT Score.
Also preparation for CAT would also make you prepared for other entrances exams.

In order to get call from IIM A you need to have 99.5 + percentile. with good academic background.

CAT(Common Admission Test) this exam conducted for selecting candidates into management course.

IIM(Indian Institute of Management) is the best institute in india for managemen courses.

50% marks is needed for IIM(Indian Institute of Management).

Eligibility criteria:

The candidate should be complete graduation from a recognised university with atleast of 50%marks.

5%marks relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Candidate should be a citizen of india.

There is no age limit for this exam.

Fee structure for IIM'S:

IIM Calcutta: Rs.12,70,000,

IIM Lucknow: Rs.13,00,000,

hi dude the answer for this question is very simple dude don`t worry.... call letter means nothing but a letter in which you have all the details like date of joining etc.... when you attend for an interview for a job if they are satisfied wit your knowledge and want to keep you in there company then they will send you a letter named CALL LETTER which conforms that you got job in that company .

got 84% in both 10th and 12th. Will have CPI around 7 after i graduate from IISER. Cracked and got 5000 rank in IIT-JEE in 2008. So do i have a chance in IIM A or C ?..i'm sure i'll manage to get 98 percentile in cat tho.

Hello sir,,
I am an engineering student with a bad academics so far
just got 70% in 10th ,, 55% in 12th and around 65% in current graduation
I have given Cat 2011
and have secured 78.8 percentile
out of which sectional marks were 90 percentile in english and 60 percentile in quant
what are the possibilities of me getting an esteemed institute if i hit a try again in 2012 for cat
the chances for IIM-A are nil or is there any hope.... :( :(
should i give it or take the colleges that i get this very year???

What is the preferable %age in 10th and 12th standard and B.tech?

Sir, I want to know what %age of marks in 10th, 12th, and B.tech is considered eligible for getting admission in IIM-A. My marks in 10th standard is 90%, in 12th it is 77.6%; so is it well enough?

To get selected in IIMs you must have scored 98 above marks in CAT.
If you have scored 99 percentile marks, you are the most eligible to get selected in IIM A.

The selection procedure for every IIM on the basis of CAT
is different.

The CAT score matters but from last two years, the call letter
from every IIM is sent only to those candidates who qualify on
a different merit list.

The merit list after the CAT results is made on the basis of
following:
10th examination percentage
12th examination percentage
Graduation overall percentage
CAT examination score

The overall list so prepared is the basis for sending call letters.
So, to get into the IIM-A you must have a very good academic
record and if you don't have such record then even after getting
99.99 percentile in CAT will not make sure that you will get admission
in IIM-A.

Yes you are correct..it's more than 99%

Getting the IIMs is not an ordinary thing you know ,
only thing is that it depends on the highest score secure by the best one of tyhe exam.
then accordingily your percentrage will be calculated..
you can have the chance to go to the IIM ahmedabad.
And any of the IIM also

according to my knowledge you have to score above 97% to gate a call from IIM - A.Because it is one of the top most MBS institution's of India and *th in the world .
