Re: What is the starting salary of SBI Clerk? SBI is the leading public sector bank in India. SBI will come up with notification for the recruitment of Clerks every year. SBI clerk exam is considered to be the toughest exam of all bank exams after RBI Exam. However, if the candidate is having strong preparation towards written exam, he can easily get the job. The selection procedure will include SBI Written Exam Interview The written exam consists of questions from the following categories Reasoning Numerical Ability General Awareness General English Computer Knowledge There is negative marking in the written exam for wrong answer questions. One should have to secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the categories of the written exam to get through it. As per eligibility criteria, One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream in order to be eligible to apply for this Exam. The starting salary offered for a SBI Clerk will be 7200-19000. There will be some deductions in your salary. However you will be give some allowances. The scale of pay for the SBI clerk is 7200-400/3-8400-500/3-9900-600/4-12300-700/7-17200-1300/1-18500-800/ 1-19300, Emoluments: The total starting emoluments of a Clerical Cadre employee payable at Metro like Mumbai will be around Rs. 14,177/- per month for Graduates inclusive of D.A. and other allowances at the current rate. Allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting. |

The abbreviation of SBI is State Bank of India.  The starting salary of State Bank of India Clerical grade is Rs. 14,177 per month. The educational qualifications regarding with State Bank of India Clerical exam are below mentioned:- # Opponents must have finished their bachelor degree in any curriculum from any approved institution. # Opponents of last year of bachelor degree aren't preferable for this exam. # There is not any type of percentage needed in this exam. Dear Friend  State Bank of India is a multinational banking and financial services government owned corporation with its head quarters in Mumbai.At the end of 2012,it has total of 15,003 branches and the chairman of SBI at present is Pratip Chaudhari. SBI conducts its own entrance examination through which it select candidates for the post of Clerk and Probationary officer. For SBI clerk ,what is you need is that you should have minimum of 10+2 with 60% of marks from a recognized board. After that you will have to give the entrance written test followed by interview. The age limit for the SBI clerk is 18-28 years for general category and relaxations applicable to obc and sc/st respectively. Now coming to your query: The starting salary of the SBI clerk is between Rs 14000 to 15000 and the pay scale varies from Rs 7200 to Rs 19000. 1. Nationality:- You should be a citizen of India. 2. Educational Qualification:- If you have any one of the following qualification then you are eligible to sit for the examination:- i) You need to pass higher secondary examination or its equivalent from a recognized board with not less than 60% of marks in aggregate. Reserved category candidates needs to get 55% of marks. ii) You need to have a diploma degree from a recognized institution whose duration is not less than two years. 60% of marks is required along with that. iii) You need to complete graduation in any discipline from a recognized university. 40% of marks needs to be secured if you are general category candidates and 35% of marks if you are a reserved category candidate. 3. The State Bank Of India conducts the Clerical Exam every year for the recruitment of Clerks. The Eligibility Criteria For SBI Clerical Exam are : a) you should have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university. b) Your age should lie in between 18-28 years. c) There is also a relaxation in age granted to those who belong to Reserved Category.
