Re: Syllabus for MBA entrance exam? Names of the recommended books for preparation for the entrance test? Quote:
MBA is the Master's in Business Administration which is the post graduation course for the 2 years and can only be done by candidates who are already graduates or are in the final year so that after clearing it they can get enrolled in any of the top MBA Colleges. Now as you may know that the competition is really tough and hence so you have to be on your toes all the time so that you can clear any of the MBA Entrances. I would first name a few MBA Entrances : CAT, MAT, XAT, GMAT, NMAT, CMAT, IIFT, IBSAT, etc and many more..So you have to attempt these exams in order to get a seat in any of the MBA Colleges or Universities. Now coming to your query, all these conduct tests which are general and would NOT contain anything related to what you have studied in your Graduation or your stream in your school, since MBA is open for any stream graduate. You would be tested on 4 parameters :- 1. Quantitative Aptitude 2. Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation 3. General English 4. General Awareness So you have to be very sharp in all these. The syllabus for all are almost same. If you want to know the CAT - Common Admission Test syllabus, then please Click Here. Also for any other information you would get detailed matter in this website also for online preparation, important dates etc. Hereby I would recommend that you take up some coaching as they are in constant tough with the MBA Entrance and so their modules are well in detail about the latest types of questions asked and also how you should attempt the paper. They have detailed analysis so that you have to focus more on the important topics and can take a few unimportant ones lightly. Also R.S Aggrawal is a very important book for the Quantitative Ability Practice. Its got every topic in detail and enough questions for practice. So you should go for this book. For the General Awareness, I would only recommend reading newspapers and watching news on TV. This way you would gain a lot of awareness.. R.S Aggarwal also has a book for the LRDI Part i.e Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation part so its a very thick book and you can buy that for Rs 500 approx. Practice as much as you can from that and so that you increase on your speed. You can find more options for books Here Hope this helps All the best Regards RANJEET |
