Re: How to join IAS exam after passing B.Tech? Which subjects should I choose as optional subject? Preliminary exam (CSAT) for selection to IAS is usually conducted in the month of May. Next exam is expected to be held on May 19, 2013. You need to prepare for GK and Aptitude to clear CSAT. Subjects like Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering will be selected as optional subject. Preparation can be done with the aid of reference books and previous year question papers. |
