Re: UGC exam after 40 years of age?

UGC exam i.e. UGC NET - UNIVERSITY GRANT COMMISSION NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST conducted by UGC twice a year for selection of Lectureship and award to Junior Research Fellowship(JRF).

For UGC NET lectureship there is no upper age bar but for those applying for JRF should be within 28 years of age.

So after 40years one can apply for UGC NET Lectureship.

Re: UGC exam after 40 years of age?

The UGC NET examination is generally divide into two categories namely

1.Junior Research fellowship
2.Lectureship

As per your age your not eligible for the JRF but your eligible for Lectureship as it doesn't consider any upper age limits.
If you have a Master degree in hand then certainly you can apply for the UGC NET for Lectureship provided the course which have completed is one among the list of 93 courses.
The notifications will be released in the official website of the UGC i.e

http://www.ugc.ac.in

Here am providing you the notification details of previous year so that you get extra information about the question paper format and other such details

Re: UGC exam after 40 years of age?

Sorry, but you are not eligible. It is because the age limit is 21 to 29.
You should better try something else.

Re: UGC exam after 40 years of age?

Hi

It is not possible for you to apply for the UGC exam at this time. Since the age limit of a candidate up which they can apply is 28years. There is a age relaxation of 5years for the candidates of SC/ST/OBC/PH category students.

Since your age is of 39years thats why you are not eligible for this exam. For more information you can log on to its official web site which is:

www.ugc.ac.in

GOOD LUCK
