Re: What is the age limit for primary teacher of Haryana general category I assume you wish to become primary teacher in government schools. If that what you wish then you will have to apply for the Haryana Teachers Eligibility Test (TET). This exam is conducted by the state eduacation board for recruiting teachers for Class I to Class VIII in all schools within the state that are funded by the Haryana government. It has been made mandatory to appear for Teachers Eligibility Test to become government teacher. The decision was taken by Human Resources and Development Ministry of India. The reason was poor educational standards in the government schools. To improve the quality of education, ministry thought to first improve the quality of teachers. This is why you will have to appear for the Teachers Eligibility Test. Each state conducts this test including Haryana. In case Haryana decides against conducting the Teachers Eligibility Test then you will have to appear for CTET exam since recruitment would be done on the basis of CTET. CTET is same as TET, the only difference is that it is conducting by the central governemnt. The full form of CTET is Central Teachers Eligibility Test. This test is done for selecting teachers for various schools that are funded by central government. CTET is only considered for teaching job in state when the government of the state decides against conducting its own Teachers Eligibility Test. Eligibility 1. You should be Indian citizen. 2. A graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university. 3. It is also mandatory to have B.Ed degree. 4. At least 55 percent marks are required in B.Ed. 5. There is no age limit for TET exam even for General candidates. 6. There is no limit on number of attempts. |
