Re: How to join Indian Army after passing 2nd year computer engineering Dear Friend, Sorry to say but you cannot join the Indian Army if you are currently in 2nd year of Engineering. Those candidates who have missed the NDA Examination can join the Indian Defense through the Combined Defense Services Examination. Through the CDS Exam , you can join the following wings : * Indian Militant Academy * Naval Academy * Air Force Academy * Officer`s Training Academy The Minimum educational qualification required for the CDS Exam is graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university. Candidates in final year of graduation can also appear for the CDS Exam but they can only sit for the CDS-II Exam. So , as you are jus in 2nd year of Engineering which means you can`t apply for the CDS Exam now. The Other Required Qualifications for CDS Exam are : * The Age Limit : a) For Naval Academy : 19-22 years b) For Air Force Academy : 19-23 years c) For Indian Militant Academy : 19-24 years d) For Officer`s Training Academy : 19-25 years * Both Male and Female candidates can apply for the exam. * The candidate must be an Indian Citizen. After clear this examination candidates are eligible to Join - IMA (Indian Military Academy) OTA (Officers Training Academy) Naval Academy Air- Force Academy. -->IMA (Indian Military Academy) and OTA (Officers Training Academy) :=You must completed the graduation from recognized university.Age limit should be between 19-24 years. -->Naval Academy := You must completed the engineering degree from recognized university with maths and physics as a compulsory subjects in 10+2 level.Required age limit should be between 19-22 years. -->Air- Force Academy:=You must completed the any graduation with maths and physics as a compulsory subjects at 10+2 level.Required age limit should be between 19-23 years. You are from 2nd year of B-Tech degree so you are not applicable for CDS exam but when you are in final year of your graduation degree then you are applicable for CDS exam. Re: How to join Indian Army after passing 2nd year computer engineering University Entry Scheme is there for those who are in Pre-Final and Final of Engineering Graduation. The notifications are announce for Short Services Commission by Indian Defence for UES. Only those who are in Final or Pre-final year of Engineering can apply for this entry. Also one must not have any backlogs in the previous semester when applying for UES. One can apply for UES on a prescribed format of application when the notifications are announced on the official website or in employment news. After applying the shortlisted candidates will be called for SSB Interview. The marks in SSB will decide whether you will be selected for UES or not. You will have another option in CDS examination but after completion of your graduation. In CDS the selection will be based on the Written exam, SSB and Medical examination.  Not at all, you aren't preferable for Indian Army. Now, you are in second year of bachelor degree; so, you can't give National Defense Academy(NDA) exam; because NDA exam needs 12th standard passed candidates. But, you are not preferable for Combined Defense Academy(CDS) exam; because CDS exam needs either graduate candidates or those candidates who are in final year of bachelor degree. So, firstly you finish your bachelor degree, then you are preferable for CDS exam. When you will go in last year of bachelor degree, then you are preferable for Combined Defense Services exam. Union Public Service Commission organizes Combined Defense Services exam every year for two times. Combined Defense Services exam is organized in these following months below mentioned:- # February. # September. Combined Defense Services exam is organized for these following wings below mentioned:- # Indian Naval Academy. # Indian Air Force Academy. # Indian Military or Army Academy. # Officer's Training Academy. No,You cannot join in Indian Army which is the Defence force of India. You are not satisfying the Education qualification for joining in the force as you need to complete your Degree before joining in Indian Army as a Final year candidate or a passed out candidate is eligible for joining in Indian Army. There are entrance exam which are conducted in India for candidate to join in Defence forces of India and the entrance exam which you can attempt is the CDS Exam CDS - Combined Defence Service This exam is one of the Defnece service exam and this exam is conducted by UPSC and is held every year twice as CDS I and CDS II. Preparation can be made on topics like general English, arithmetic, and general knowledge. Reference books and previous year question papers can be used for studies.
