Re: How to get a government job after studying ECE final year Dear Friend Friend,you have not mentioned that in which government sector you will like to do job .So here I mentioning some of the most preferred job for the B.tech candidates: >>Being a final year candidate of engineering you can apply for the Graduate Aptitude test in Engineering after clearing which you will be able to get job in the various public sector undertakings like NTPC,BHEL.SAIL,GAIL,BSNL,MTNL,ONGC,IOCL etc. >>They shortlist candidates on the basis of GATE score and after that you will have to go through the group discussion and personal interview. >>The best option for you will be to go for the Indian Engineering services conducted by the UPSC and after cracking this exam ,you will get a respectable and handsome salaried job in various government department like Indian railways,defense etc. >>You may also go for the Banking jobs for the post of clerk and probationary officers.For this you need to apply for the IBPS and SBI bank exams. >>The other options are that you may look upon the the different departments in whcih various vacancies are there .For that you need to apply for the different posts under it. You can apply for job in various Public Sector Undertakings since there is always good demand of ECE graduates. The Electronics and Communication Engineering is among the top streams of Engineering. To apply for the job in Public Sector Undertaking you will have to look for the notification from the company. The notification mentions the vacancy per engineering stream. You should see whether there is any requirement of ECE graduates in the company and only then apply for the job. It is important to remember that each company has its own notification and conducts a separate examination to select candidates. Once you have applied for the job, the PSU will ask you to appear for written test. However this step is not followed by every company. Some directly calls candidates for the exam and ask for GATE score. Therefore it will be important to appear for the GATE exam for you. PSU Eligibility 1. PSU only accepts Indian citizens. 2. B.Tech should have been completed by the student. 3. 60 percent marks in the Engineering course. 4. Must have cleared pending backlogs. 5. A gate score is required. 6. Age limit to apply is 21 to 30 years. 7. Upto 3 years relaxation for OBC. 8. SC/ST can apply in PSU till 35 years. Check in Freshers World.Com ,job postings are published by companies Or Join in ACE Coaching centre in Hyderabad which is good coaching center for GATE Exam.Because all the core companies & government jobs are based on GATE.Otherwise prepare yourself in home also for GATE. Or you can join in M.Tech based on this gate rank.They will provide Stipend also. Dont waste time.If any gap after graduation ,It will not be good. All the Best |

After completing Btech in ece try.. 1.
