I have lot of interest towards nanotechnology . i have done many projects regarding molecules . Now i thought of doing my masters in nanoscience and technology , my dream is to become researcher . I want to know how far nanotechnology will be helpful to deserve good job? let me know scope behind this field? |

Research is at snail's pace in this country Although outside india like in europe and america..its the buzz word...but sooner or later India will catch up with them in this field too Salary offered is very less |

It is a unique and special branch of science that essentially combines physics, chemistry, biology, engineering etc. It is one of the hottest career option available to Indian Engineering graduates. Students with M.Tech in Nanotechnology are in great demand both in India and abroad. It is a rapidly growing and emerging field. It is a very new field in India and focusing on streams like electronics, healthcare markets, and other industrial products. So after M.Sc you will get a very good job in India and may be outside India. |

A nano-technologist can seek employment in the following areas : Agriculture Environment industry Medicine Food and Beverage Teaching Genetics Bio-technology Space Research Forensic Science. |

Government is investing crores to make the whole nanotech infrastructure more promissing and to lead the scientific growth in this field. Not only government private corporate giants like TATA,RELIANCE etc are also investing in this sector,which creates more and more administrative as well as technical jobs. m.tech (nanotech) student favorite work place is to work in biological field and also in developing Nano microchips for upcoming advance computers,and in Industrial applications,such as production of golf balls,biofeuls,in pharmaceutical companies etc. Dont worry go for it it has a wide scope u know, in all the fields where you want to exploit molecular level synthesis nanotechnology provides the solution.......I believe that it's more in the medical field than anything. I heard recently that they're onto something with destroying cancer cells. It's definitely reinventing the medical field and its effectiveness. I'm pretty sure researchers are implementing it into prosthesis. |
