To apply for AIMCET exam maths is required at 12th.

AIMCET(All India MCA Common Entrance Test) is an entrance exam for MCA(Master of Computer Applications).

* You should be the citizen of India
* You should study maths as subject at 12th standard.
* You should complete graduation from a recognized university.
* Candidates should get 55% at graduation.
* Final year candidates are also allowed

* Computer
* General Knowledge
* Maths
* Analytical ability & Logical Reasoning

What about those candidates who did not had Maths in 12th but want to pursue MCA in regular.... Can't anybody think about them?

Yes, friend math is required in 12th class to appear in the AIMCET and you must have a graduate degree from a recognize University. Final year graduate student can also apply for AIMCET.

The eligibility criteria for AIMCET are as follows :
(1)Nationality-Indian
(2)Maths cumpulsory in class 12th with any stream.
(3)must have graduation degree (at least 3)
(4)final year graduation students are also eligible.

so maths is cumpulsory in 12th but some colleges provides this course without having maths in class 12th but you will have to cover up maths also.

I HAD MATHS AS ONE OF MY MAIN SUBJECT IN 12TH, BT I HVE STUDIED ONLY OF THE SCHOOL LEVEL, NOW DO I NEED TO STUDY OF THE IIT LEVEL TO CLEAR AIMCET

Yes, mathematics is required as a main subject in class 12 to appear for AIMCET. Also, a graduation degree is required, with the graduation course being not less than 3 years

yes it is very much required as par as eligibality
AIMCET Eligibility :

The candidate must be of Indian nationality.

Mathematics – 100 Questions
Computer Awareness – 40 Questions
Analytical ability & Logical Reasoning – 40 Questions

General Awareness – 20 Question

Yes Maths is important and is mandatory in this exam because as per criteria of AIMCET exam The candidate must have passed class 12th examination in any stream with mathematics as a main subject.
