BA LLB is also referred as the integrated LLB course. The duration of this course is 5 years. Often people ask what is the different between 5 years LLB and 3 years LLB.

On merit, both degrees are the same. The difference is that integrated LLB includes a bachelor degree like BA, B.Com, B.Sc etc. therefore the duration of 5 years. On the other hand, LLB is pursued after completing graduation therefore the duration is 3 years.

Nowdays most colleges in India have adopted BA LLB degree instead of LLB. This helps students save one year of academic studies. To pursue BA LLB you should appear for the CLAT entrance exam. Common Law Admission Test is conducted for National Law Universities and could be taken after finishing school.

CLAT Eligibility

1. You must have finished 12th standard.

2. Min of 45 percent should be scored in 12th.

3. 40 percent are required for SC/ST.

4. Age limit is set at 20 years for the exam.

5. There is two years relaxation for SC/ST.
