yes you can apply for mbbs after bsc nursing ,but you have to give a fresh start for mbbs and you would have to apply on the basis of 12th,so i advise you to dropyour idea for msbbs and procede further in nursing

It is possible to do MBBS after B.Sc in Nursing but nobody would advice you to do so. Frankly there is no point of doing MBBS after graduation in Nursing. If your intention was to become doctor then you should have applied for the MBBS course in the first place.

Let me explain my point. The B.Sc in Nursing is four years long course. Now if you do MBBS as well then it would mean another 5 years besides there would be no use of your Nursing degree. So it makes no sense to go for MBBS.

Another thing to remember is that, being a Nursing graduate would bring no help in applying for MBBS. You would have to go through the same process like any other student. What this means is appearing for the PMT or other medical entrance exams. Only based on your performance in the entrance exam, you would get the admission for MBBS course.

You should also remember that there is no lateral entry for Nursing graduates in MBBS. This is a common mistake made by several people. In India there is no such thing like lateral entry in MBBS. The Medical Council of India would not recognize any such degree. Therefore even if a college insists on lateral entry, please do not fall for the trap.

There are several options for Nursing graduates to get a decent job. Therefore one should to pursue MBBS course. For example there are jobs in the central government for nursing candidates. You will have to look in Employment Dailies for job opening in government hospital. The Public Service Commission is responsible to conducts exam to recruit the B.Sc in Nursing graduates to government hospitals.

Then there is always a option to go in Indian Army as a nurse and take care of injured soldiers and help them recover as soon as possible.

Another option is Railways jobs. The Union Public Service Commission or Railway Recruitment Board conducts exams to recruit nursing graduates in Indian Railways. You can always look for this option.

The private sector jobs are another good option. There is a need of nurses in private hospitals as well. Some top hospitals pay nurses handsomely.

You may also apply for Public Sector Undertaking jobs. There are placement for nursing graduates in PSU as well. Steel Authority of India Limited is one such PSU where there are jobs for nurses. There are posts like nursing section chief, senior nurse, patient coordinator, nursing supervisor, nursing sister etc.
