COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAMINATION : CDSE

UPSC conduct CDS Exam twice a year for those candidate who wants to join Indian Air Force after Graduation.

Eligibility criteria to join Indian force through CDSE:

You should have the Graduation degree in Engineering from a recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level
Final year graduate candidates are also eligible for CDS Examination.
You Age should be between 19 to 23.
You must be an Indian Citizen

CDS exam notification will release in the month of Oct and June every year & exam will held in the month of Feb and September every year respectively.

My friend you have not mentioned about your qualification, after which you want to join in Indian Air force.

If you want to join in Indian Air force after completion of graduation then you have to qualify in AFCAT exam.

Through AFCAT exam you can apply for Indian Air force.

Eligibility for AFCAT exam:-

1.For ground duty branch:-

Candidate has to complete the graduation in any trade.

Age should be in between 20-27 years.

2.For flying branch:-

Candidate can complete the graduation in any trade but must have had maths and physics in 12th.

Age should be in between 19-23 years.

3.For Technical branch:-

Candidate has to complete the graduation in engineering field..

Age should be in between 18-28 years.

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill..
So, get prepare for AFCAT exam and try to crack the exam at the very first attempt..

CDS which is conducted every year by upsc for entry to airforce,navy and army,details regarding examination will be released in employment news,or

UES : university entry scheme is a scheme for graduates to entry into defense,you have to pass entrance ans ssb interview and medical test for it.

then you can appear for the NDA(National Defense Academy) exam which takes place twice a year in April and August..

This paper is a 300 marks objective paper with each section carrying 100 marks..
The sections shall test your GK,Current Affairs and Basic Mathematics..

you did not have mention your current qualification.
but if you are 12th standard with physic chemistry,maths with at least 60% in12.
you can apply for NDA examination.
the age limit for this exam 16.5-19.
there is no any kind of age relaxation for SC\ST candidates.
this exam is only for unmarried males.

if you are graduate in science stream , then you can apply for CDS examination with in the age limit of 19-24.

Hello dear,
To join in the Indian air force, the minimum criteria are-
1. you must have to pass 12th with PCM (physics, chemistry, math) stream, with atlist 60% marks,
2. your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years,
3. in case graduation, your age should in between 21 to 25 years.
If you want to join after 12th , then you have to fight - NDA exam,
Other wise If you want to join after graduation, then you have to fight for CDS exam.
Generally anyone who have fulfill above criteria and sharp mind, and intelligent person
Can easily join in the Indian air force.

Jobs in Indian air force as a ground duty officers and as a flying officers.

To get into these jobs you have to clear lot of the PRELIMINARY stages like clearing NDA or CDSE, after that clearing SSB having personal interview and lost more.

There are Two modes through which you can Join Air Force.

One is Air Force common Admission Test,Its a common Entrance test for Flying Branch, Technical Branch, Ground Duty officer

You need to be 60% aggregate in all your Years in graduation.

Secondly CDSE i.e Combined Defense Service Examination which held twice in a year and conducted by union public service commission board of India.

Through This Exam You can join Either Army , Air Force or Navy as per as your Choice filled during Filling of application Form.

you can join AIR FORCE in following field .

1.Flying
2.Ground duty

ELIGIBILITY :

10+2 with PCM students can apply for only in the Flying branch

graduates can apply for all three branches

engineers can apply for all three branches

postgraduates can also apply for all branches except the Flying branch

To join INDIAN AIR FORCE you have to take NDA exam which is conducted by UPSC every
year this is called NDA .

the hieght is 170 and the age should in between 16&half -19 years.

You can join Indian airforce by appearing NDA examination conducted by UPSC twice in a year. Upcoming NDA-1 examination is going to conduct on 17th April,2011.

Eligiblity for this exam is to be 10+2 passout with PCM as subjects. Candidate must have attained age in between 16 1/2 to 19 years on the date of commecement of examinatiion.

On the basis of 10+2 you can also join by TES for which the candidate must have 70% marks in PCM.

You must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disease/ disability, which is likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties. There should be no evidence of weak constitution, bodily defects or overweight.

The height and weight standards for men and women differ. Click to view the appropriate standards for each.
Men
Women

Your chest should be well developed. The minimum range of expansion after full inspiration should be 5 cm.

There should be no disease of bones and joints of the body.

You should be free of any past history of mental breakdown or fits.

Your hearing should be normal without any evidence of present or past disease of the ear, nose and throat.

There should be no sign of functional or organic disease of the heart and blood vessels. Your blood pressure should also be normal.

The muscles of the abdomen should be well developed without any enlargement of the liver or spleen. Any evidence of disease of internal organs of the abdomen can be a cause for rejection.

An un-operated hernia can make you unfit for selection. If operated, this should have been done at least six months prior to the present examination and healing should be complete without any potential for recurrence.

There should be no hydrocele, varicocele or piles. If operated for hydrocele and/or varicocele, this should have been done at least six months prior to the present examination and healing should be complete without any recurrence.

Urine examination will be done and any abnormality, if detected, can be a cause for rejection.

Any disease of the skin, which is likely to cause disability or disfigurement, will also be a cause for rejection.

Vision will be tested. You must have good binocular vision. In case you have undergone or are detected to have undergone Radial Keratotomy, or any other procedure to improve the visual acuity, you will be permanently rejected.

You should have sufficient number of natural and sound teeth. A minimum of 14 dental points will be acceptable. When 32 teeth are present, the total dental points are 22. You should not be suffering from severe pyorrhoea.

The following are conditions pertaining to women that will entail rejection for all Air Force Duties:

Acute or chronic pelvic infection
Severe menorrhagia
Severe dysmenorrhea
Complete prolapse of uterus
Pregnancy/ Amenorrhea
Any other gynaecological condition, if so considered by the specialist.

Under the Air Force Fitness Program, fitness points are awarded in four areas: aerobic (running), body-composition, push-ups, and crunches. Those who are not medically cleared to run will take the ergo-cycle test for the aerobic portion.

Ratings are as follows:

Excellent-- 90 or above

Good -- 75 to 89.9

Fail -- below 75

Members must complete all components unless medically exempted. If medically exempted from any component, the total score is calculated as follows:

Total Component Points Achieved X 100 divided by total possible points.

Maximum component points are:

Aerobic -- 50

Body Composition -- 30

Push-ups -- 10

Crunches -- 10

For individuals who are not medically excused from any portion, you simply add the points achieved in each category, based on results from the charts linked below.

The three branches of the Air force are

* Flying,
* Ground duty
* and Technical branch.

The officer cadre provides opportunities for men with 10+2 / Intermediate (only in the Flying branch), graduates (all three branches), engineers (all three branches) and postgraduates (all branches except the Flying branch) in the various positions. Women with graduate (all three branches), engineering (all three branches) and post graduate degrees (all branches except the Flying branch) have openings as an Officer in the Air force.

You can join NDA for joining AIRFORCE.. by taking the exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) which is conducted twice a year....

Qualifications: You should have passed your 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics.

Hello friend,
To join Indian Air-Force, you may appear for CDS exam conducted by UPSC. The minimum educational qualification required is a degree (with Physics and Maths at +2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
If you have completed your B.Sc/BE/BTech with a minimum of 60% marks and have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level, you can apply for Flying (Pilot) through Short Service Commission. The age limit for the same is 19-23 years.
You may also apply in the technical department as an aeronautical engineer. provided you have studied a minimum of eight subject from the following list.

For aeronautical engineer(electronics)

(1) Physics / Engineering Physics.
(2) Mathematics / Engineering Mathematics.
(3) Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing.
(4) Electrical Engineering / Electrical Technology.
(5) Control Engineering.
(6) Microprocessors.
(7) Digital Electronics / Basic Electronics.
(8) Computer Networks.
(9) Information Technology.
(10) Network Theory Design.
(11) Telecommunication Systems.
(12) Electronic Circuit Design.
(13) Radar Theory.
(14) Switching Theory.
(15) Instrumentation.
(16) Microwave Engineering.
(17) Antenna and Wave Propagation.
(18) Electronic Devices

For Aeronautical engineer(Mechanical)

(1) Physics / Engineering Physics.

for joining airforce u need to clear the cds exam conducted by upsc....the minimum qualification required is graduation degree....with having physics and math at your +2 level....
