NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by the University Grants Commission .
Those Candidates have secured at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examination from universities / institutions recognized by UGC are eligible for this Test.50% marks is required in case of SC / ST / PWD category candidates Final year of Masters degree candidate can apply here . Age criteria for NET Exam:- i) Junior Research Fellowship : Minimum Age : 21 Years. Maximum Age : 28 Years. Age relaxation up to 5 years is provided to the candidates belonging to SC / ST / PWD / OBC . ii) Lectureship : There is no upper age limit . Pattern for NET Exam is given below :-  Exam date for UGC NET Exam for 2013 June session :- Last date for filling Online Application form : Friday : May 03, 2013 Last date for receiving the printout of online Application Form : UGC NET June 2013 Exam date : 30th june, 2013 : Monday; May 13, 2013 Fees for NET Exam:- General Candidates Rs.450/- Other Backward Classes Rs.225/- SC/ST/PWD candidates Rs.110/- For more details about NET exam click on the link http://www.ugc.ac.in . |

♦ Qualification: Securing a 55% in the master's degree (in Humanities, Social sciences, Forensic sciences, etc) is a must for General/OBC category Students. However the Min. percentage for Sc/St/Ph(physically handicapped)/Vh(Visually Handicapped) is 50%.♦ The candidate should appear in the subject of their post graduation. ♦ For M-Phil : NET is mandatory even if you have a P.h.d Degree. ♦ The candidates who have passed the UGC/CSIR JRF Examination prior to some year are exempted from appearing in the NET Examination. Age Eligibility: There is no upper age restriction for the candidates eligibility of lecturership.Date Of NET Exam: Usually held in the Month Of june.
