Re: Am I eligible for placement if I have a backlog in 6th semester? Well, for you my answer is both yes and no. Yes because, if you clear the backlog within time then you are definitely eligible for placement. See companies look for pass out candidates who have their mark sheets ready. So my answer was No, because the moment you have a pending backlog, your mark sheet will not be ready. It may be the case that leaving that particular subject you have got brilliant result in the rest subjects. But since that subject is still pending, so you cannot be granted as a pass out graduate. Hence applying for the company will not be possible. If you can make sure that after you clear your interviews, you will be able to clear the backlog before the company gives you the appointment letter, then you still have chances. or else you first clear the backlog and then go for campus placement procedures. |

Re: Am I eligible for placement if I have a backlog in 6th semester? Most of the companies consider candidates with zero backlogs for campus placements. Certain companies allow candidates to attend the selection process, provided they must submit pass certificate at the time of join. In some other cases, skill of the candidate is counted more than his academic performance. For MNC the criterion of zero backlogs is mandatory. They do specify a minimum cut off marks. |
