The reason for this requirement is that the overhead bins and stowage compartments are at a height of 212 cm. Hence the companies want to make sure that the crew should be readily able to reach them whenever needed. Most airlines require you to be no shorter than 5 ft. 2 in. and no taller than 6ft 3in. If you are not that tall then you need not to worry. There are many other career options which give you lucrative package and good career growth. here are ample of positions which you ‘ll find aviation industry. I am going to list out a few of them. I am sorry to say but the minimum height suggested to be an air hostess and accepted by almost all the airlines is 157.5 cms which is 5.1 inches. Though there are some airlines that may look beyond height and see your qualification and/or fluency in English or Hindi depending upon the airline. You must also have a very good eyesight correctable up to 6/9 atleast. |

Languages known is English and Hindi. My interest is to become a cabin crew.I have gone through various articles they say that minimum required height is 157 cm.I am really worried please let me know can I get the job for cabincrew with the given height.most importantly I have paid a huge amount for the course and I don't want it to go waste. Education: 10+2 pass certificate or a Graduation degree (preferably Hotel Management or Tourism) is required to get enrolled for a short term Air-Hostess Diploma course. So you are eligible for the air hostess course.... 2. Age: Age should below 25 years of age 3. Height: at least 154.5-157.5 cms tall.. (Weight and height should be proportionate with good eyesight of 6/6 uncorrected vision in both eyes.) So if you fulfill the above criteria, then you are eligible to become an air hostess... But you have mentioned that your height is 153cms, so you may try for it...contact the academies for any concession..it may happen that some academy allow those with your heights... So don't loose hope.......all the best! For becoming air hostess, you need to have following eligibility, You should have done atleast 12th class your age should be 18-26 years you height should be atleast 157.5 cm good communication skills fair and clear complexion unmarried and good eye sight. Since you have 153cm height as against 157.5cm as mentioned in eligibility, you are not eligible for air hostess training. all the best |

Yes, you have a chance to become an Air-hostess. The physical eligibility is as follows, For an 18-year-old height of 152 cm, weight is 50 kg For age group of 26 to 30 height of 152 cm, weight limit is 56 kg. |
