Re: How to do CA after passing B.Com final year? Of course you can pursue Chartered Accountancy course after completing graduation. There is no rule which says that graduates can not apply for the Chartered Accountancy course. Any candidate who has at least completed 12th standard is eligible for Chartered Accountancy. The procedure is that candidate first has to appear for the Common Proficiency Test. It is conducted bi-yearly and only candidates who have cleared the test are eligible for admission in the second stage of Chartered Accountacy. The sections mentioned below are divided into two groups in the Common Proficiency Test. You need to clear both groups with at least 30 percent marks in each group. Only then you will clear the Common Proficiency Test. 1. Fundamentals of Accountancy 2. Economics 3. Mercantile Law 4. Quantitative Aptitude While appearing for the Common Proficiency Test is mandatory for the Class 12th pass candidates, it is not mandatory for graduates. Under the provision set by ICAI, graduates can take direct admission for the Integrated Professional Competancy Course If: A Commerce graduate has completed course with 55 percent or above marks. A non-commerce student should complete course with 60 percent marks. If you manage to complete the Bachelor of Commerce course with 55 percent marks then there will be no need to apply for the Common Proficiency Test. |

CA- Chartered Accountant The entrance exam is conducted by ICAI ICAI conducts CPT for CA entrance. Eligibility for CPT - 1. Candidate should have completed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) from a recognised board. Students waiting for (10+2) results can also apply. 2. Candidate can join CA after (10+2) or graduation. Common proficiency test is conducted 2 times in a year in the months of June and December. Good luck......... |
