To become ias bachelor degree is necessary & completed 21 yrs age & then you can apply for ias exam.it has three steps 1)premilinary exam 2)main exam 3) interview .After clearing all the stages you get selected as IAS

I am a mechanical engineering .....I didn't study diploma....... its possible to attend the ias exam ......and I have a arrears when studying mechanical engineering.... now i clear the arrears... its possible or not ...

Indian Administrative Service is the entrance examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.The eligibility details of the examination are:
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • You must have completed graduation from any recognized university.
  • Must have atleast 21 years of age.
  • The maximum age upto which a candidate can apply is 30 years.
  • Upper age relaxation is provided for the reservedcategory candidates.
  • If you belong to SC/ST category then you can apply for the exam upto 35 years.
  • If you belong to OBC category then you can apply for the exam upto 33 years.
  • If you belong to physically handicapped category then you can apply for the exam upto 40 years.
  • If you have Ex-Service men quota then you will get upper age relaxable upto 5 years.
These are the details of the IAS examination.Coming to the exam pattern, there will be a preliminary Examination and Main examination.The examination is followed by an Interview.So these are the complete details of the IAS Examination.As you have completedEngineering you are eligible for writing the examination.

yes it is possoble,you can become a IAS officer
the eligibility criteria for one applying for IAS is
1)minimum qualification-graduation in any discipline that is any stream
and there is no minimum percentage require
2)age limit-21 to 30 years,21-33 years,21-35 years for sc/st
3)number of attempts 4-for general category,7-obc,unlimited-sc/st.
you need qualify three rounds to become an ias officer
1)preliminary
2)mains
3)interview
all the rounds are achievable only if you pass the previous rounds
