Dear Friend,


A candidate who have passed out their 12th std. in any discipline with 60% marks from recognized Board are eligible for this exam.....

50% marks required for OBC and 45% marks required for SC/ST...

Age of candidate should be minimum 18 years....

Age of candidate should not exist 27 years.....

A candidate should have Good Knowledge of Computer......

For Postal Assistants and Sorting Assistants an examination is conducted by the Department of Postal Govt .

Only those candidate have above 60% marks in 12th are applicable for Postal Assistant exam .50% marks required by OBC candidate and 45 % marks required by candidate is 45% .

Your age should be in between 18 to 27 years old.Age relaxation is provide as per govt rule .You must know your local language very clearly .

Question are coming from General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Reasoning & Analytical Ability section so prepare well .They conduct also computer typing skill test so be careful on it .

Postal Assistant Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

Educational Qualification:-
  • To give this exam you need to be a 12th pass out from a recognized school or institution. You need to secure 60% of marks at 10+2 level.
  • There is relaxation available for the reserved category candidates. OBC candidates needs to get 55% of marks and SC/ST candidates needs to get 45% of marks.
  • It is important for you to have english as compulsory subject at 10+2 level.

Age Criteria:-

Your age should not be less than 18 years when you are going to apply for this exam. The upper limit for general category candidates is 27 years.

Age Relaxation:-

There is relaxation available for the following candidates:-
  1. SC/ST Candidates: 5 years
  2. OBC Candidates: 3 years
  3. PWD Candidates: 10 years
Proficiency in Local Language:-
  • It is important to be well versed in the local language of the Postal Circle where you are intending to apply.
  • It will work in favour if you have studied Hindi at matriculation level.
Exam Pattern:-
  • Total Marks- 100
  • Total no. of Questions- 100
  • Time Duration- 2 Hours.
Stress on the following areas:- General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Logical Reasoning.

Eligibility for Postal assistant:-

The candidate should be complete 12th standard with atleast 60%of marks from a recognised university or board.

The candidate must be an Indian origin.

The age limits are 18 years to 27 years,

3years age relaxationn for OBC candidates,

5 years age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
