HI FRIEND ## The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IPS EXAM(civil services examination) is graduation in any discipline from recognised institution/university ## Age limit to apply for IPS examination is ~>21-30 years for GENERAL category candidates ~>21-33 years for OBC candidates ~>21-35 years for SC/ST candidates ## The number of attempts allowed for IPS EXAM are ~>4 times for General ~>7 times for OBC ~>no limit for SC/ST category candidates ## The physical standards required to apply for IPS examination are ~>165 cm height for men and 150 cm height for women & 5 cm height relaxation for SC/ST candidates ~>85 cm chest on expansion for men and there is no such requirement for women ~>Eyesight should be 6/6 or 6/9 in one eye, 6/12 in other eye for distant vision & 0.6 in one eye, 0.8 in other eye for near vision ## For further details please visit www.upsc.gov.in ** ALL THE BEST ** |

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University is the basic qualification you need for IPS examination which is also known as Civil Services Examination. The exam is conducted by UPSC. Hence if you have Graduation Degree then start your preparation for the examination. The physical standards are important for the job profile and the rigorous training includes weekly run for 10 K.m, in 60 minutes, route march for 5 k.m.,horse riding, hill climbing, assault course, PT obstacles, rope climbing etc.

Hello Friend , IPS stand for Indian Police Service exam which is conducted by UPSC every year . the date of notification for this exam usually release in the month of March . ELIGIBILITY : > > Aspirants must have completed their Graduation in any discipline from recognized college . > > Age must be above 21 years but not more than 30 years ( For General category ) , * * For SC/ST : 21 -35 years * * For OBC : 21 - 33 years . > > MINIMUM PHYSICAL STANDARDS : Height ( Male ) : 165 cm , and ST : 160 cm Height ( Female ) : 150 cm and for ST/SC/OBC : 145 Chest ( Male ) : Minimum 84 cm , Expansion 5 cm Chest ( Female ) : 79 cm , expansion : 5 cm Eye Sight : 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye . IPS stands for Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer one has to get through Civil Service Exam conducted every year by UPSC. Minimum Qualification Required for IPS, Civil Service Exam:- -The candidate must be an Indian National. -Should have either appeared for Graduation Degree exam or passed in any stream froma recognised University. -Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. -Should have possessed good Physical Fitness. Apart from this the candidate should have minimum Physical requirement such as:- HEIGHT:- General/OBC Male-165cm and Female-150cm while SC/ST Male-160cm and Female-145cm CHEST:- Male-84cm while Female-79cm expendable to 5cm in both the cases. Selection process is made through UPSC conducted written test and interview. General category candidates can attempt the selection test at most 4 times. OBC candidates can have at most 7 chances. SC/ST candidates can attend the test any number of times. |
