The institution or centre which is about to opened by you should need approval, Undertakings to be given by ODL institution seeking approval from the DEC, Minimum requirements for Establishment, Few steps and procedure to be followed by DEI for seeking recognization from DEC, Assessment of Centre by DEC or UGC, Withdrawal of recgonization status of DEI by DEC or UGC, Guidelines for your Centre for identification of study centre, and then opening of study centre, inspection of study centre by parent institution and then closing of study centre by parent institution. To open study centre below are the procedure: 1. Application for grant of permission to start a study centre, The vice chancellor should cause an inquiry by an expert committee. 2. Report of the committee should be placed. It includes permission to start study centre must be granted or rejected, the subjects programmes of study centre, conditions if any, which may be stipulated while granting the permission. 3. The report should be placed before highest executive body of university 4. Registrar should communicate the decision of executive body Note: No student must be admitted by study centre directly. No application should be accepted directly by executive body of the parent institution for the grant of permission for opening regional centre or study centre. |
