To sit for the CLAT Examination you need to pass higher secondary exam or its equivalent from a recognized board. At 10+2 level you have to score minimum 50% of marks in aggregate.

For the reserved category candidates there is 5% relaxation. SC/ST and OBC candidates therefore needs to get 45% of marks. For OBC candidates there is no relaxation.

Final year students about to give the final exam or awaiting the result of their final exam can also give this examination. They will be given provisional admission but at the time of admission original mark sheets needs to be shown.

For General category candidates and OBC category candidates the upper age limit is 17 years. For SC/ST candidates and persons with disability the upper age limit is 22 years.

Exam Pattern:-

1. Total Marks :-200
2. Total number of MCQ:- 200
3. Duration of examination:- Two Hours

Subject areas with weightage:

-English including Comprehension:- 40 Marks
-General Knowledge/ Current Affairs:- 50 Marks
-Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability):- 20 Marks
-Legal Aptitude:- 50 Marks
-Logical Reasoning:- 40 Marks

Hope this helps :-> :->
