Re: Minimum marks required for IPS?

IPS stands for Indian Police Service. It is one of the popular civil service in India after IAS.

The minimum academic qualification that is required for the candidates to apply for IPS selection procedure is by completion of Graduation.

One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognize university.

Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation can also apply for this Exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation by the time they appear for Interview.

As per your query,

There is no minimum percentage of marks required for the candidates in Graduation as a part of eligibility for IPS.

If you have successfully completed your Graduation, you are eligible to join IPS.

Here is the selection procedure that you should crack to be placed in IPS

Civil Services Aptitude Test
Civil Services Main Exam
Interview

The required age for the candidates to apply for CSAT Exam is 21-30 years.

Relaxation is provided in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category and upto 5 years for the candidates of SC or ST category.

You did not mention the stream that you have gone through in your Graduation.

I suggest you like to opt for the optional subject for Main Exam in accordance with your stream in Graduation so that you can perform well.

Wish you all the best.
