Age limit - Lower age limit - 18 years. Upper age limit - no limits. Number of attempting is - maximum. Candidates with B.E, B. Tech degree, P G students are eligible for the test. Final year students are also eligible. |

The abbreviation of GATE is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.  Exactly, you are preferable for GATE exam after passing M.Sc in Computer Science. The educational qualifications regarding with GATE exam are below mentioned:- * Opponents must be finished B.E./B.Tech degree from any approved institution. * No age limitations for this exam. * No limitations of attempts for this exam. * Opponents of last year are also preferable for this exam. * Opponents must not have any active backlogs. * Opponents must have an Indian citizenship. GATE is a most popular and reputed exam conducted by the government commission for the recruitment of candidates into government sectors or in private core companies,Also, GATE may help any of the candidate to take admission in master degree courses. But for you,it will be damn helpful for providing jobs under government areas or companies. To qualify for GATE exam,you must have to make prepere strategy and plans and these plans are much imporatnt to crack these kinds of other exams too. This Test is conducted by the Indian Institute Of Technology and the Indian Institute Of Science - Bangalore for those students who want to pursue M.Tech course. Passing the GATE , you can pursue the M.Tech course in colleges like IIT , NITs , BITS - Pllani , etc. To be eligible for GATE , the candidate : * must have passed B.tech in any stream from any recognized college/university. * must not have any pending backlogs in B.Tech. * need not to worry about age as there is no age limitation for the GATE Exam. * In Final Year Of B.Tech/B.E. are also eligible to appear in this exam. * can appear as many times in this exam as they want as there is no bar on the number of attempts for this exam. So , after passing M.Sc in Computer Science you can appear in the Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering. This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Candidates having following qualifications are eligible for GATE(Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering): -Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architecture OR -Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent Hence you can start your preparation without any doubt about the eligibility criteria because you are definitely eligible for it. Qualifying GATE has many advantages and it will help you in your further studies with scholarships. You will also have advantage of applying for government jobs because GATE qualifiers are preferred for most of the government jobs. You can also get Junior Research Fellowships after GATE qualifying provided you satisfy the age criteria. |

GATE is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. Indian Institute of Science and Seven IITs jointly conducts the GATE examination. GATE examination is conducted on two modes:- Offline and Online. Self study can be done using books prescribed under engineering degree. You can approach any of the reputed coaching centers, if you find difficulty in self studies. Previous year question papers can also be used for studies. GATE Electrical Engineering Solved Papers by Manish Purbey, Electrical Engineering for GATE: A Refresher by the Gate Academy, GATE Electrical Engineering by Ramesh can be used for studies. |

You can attend the test with computer science as the main subject. There is no specific percentage requirement in qualifying degree to appear for GATE. The test is conducted by IISc and IIT. |
