Re: How to apply for IBPS Exam being a candidate from MBA in Finance?

I don't think you should take up the IBPS exams. You have completed MBA in Finance. There are better jobs for you in the banking sector than what IBPS exam has to offer. Apart from banking sector you are apply for jobs in stock broking, insurance and several other sectors. Therefore I would first recommend that you search for jobs related to your qualification.

However if you have made up your mind to appear for IBPS exam then I will explain you about it. IBPS means Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. This institute is responsible for conducting exam for 19 Public Sector Undertaking banks which you may refer as government banks. The recruitment for these banks is done on the basis of exams conducted by the IBPS.

There are two IBPS exams. First one is IBPS Clerical and second exam is IBPS PO. You are eligible to apply for both these exams if meet the age requirement which I am sure you do.
Now I don't think you should apply for IBPS Clerical instead focus on the IBPS PO exam which pays better. Here are the details about IBPS PO.

Eligibility

1. You must be citizen of India.

2. Age limit for PO exam is 20 to 30 years.

3. Age limit for OBC is 20 to 33 years.

4. Age limit for SC/ST is 20 to 35 years.

5. You should have graduation degree to appear for the exam.
