Yes you will be eligible for IAS examination after completion of B.Sc Optometry.

In fact any Graduate from any discipline can apply for IAS examination if the Degree is pursued from a recognized University
.

Optometry is related to correcting the vision of eye. Every eye hospital has a Optometrist means you will be eligible for job in the hospitals as technician. Also many people open their independent lab for eye checkup. So this course can be useful to you if you are thinking of doing your own business.

So take admission into a good optometry college and after the completion you can get job into hospital and also you will be eligible to apply for IAS examination.

The age limit for IAS examination is 21 to 30 years if you belong to General category.

Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category is available.

Selection Procedure:

-Preliminary Exam

-Mains Exam

-Personal Interview
