(If you belong from the SC/ST group then you will required only 50%). Age details:- >>Your minimum age should be 14 years. >>Your age should not be above 25 years. The Exam Pattern:- >>Physics. >>Chemistry. >>Mathematics. >>English Grammar. There will be various streams which you can choose for doing this course. This will be:- >>Mechanical. >>Electrical. >>Computer/IT. >>Automobile. >>Civil. >>Electronics & Communication. etc. After completing you can appear for JEE Exam for taking Admission in B.TECH for doing Engineering. |

You must have completed your 10Th with English,Mathematics and Science as compulsory subjects. You must have completed your 10Th with minimum 33% marks. Re: What is the upper age limit to join Polytechnic If you want to take admission in polytechnic then you must be below 21 years of age . For polytechnic diploma you must be 10th pass from a recognised board of education. The admission is based on entrance exam . If you get good rank in entrance then you will get the your preferred college. Every state conducts their own polytechnic entrance exam hence the age criteria may be different in different states but will be in the same range as above mentioned. Polytechnic diploma in engineering is of 3 years duration and after doing you can apply for various jobs . You will be also eligible for admission into second year of Engineering graduation through lateral entry. |

Polytechnic or diploma courses are for those students who are not able to afford high fees of regular technical colleges or due to some reason unable to take admission but don't want to waste their time. You can take admission in polytechnic after 10th or 12th. After 10th it will be of three years and after 12th it will be of two years. If you want to do engineering but unable to take admission in any engineering college you can go for it after polytechnic as polytechnic students can take admission in engineering courses in direct second year after completion of their course through lateral entry. But for that you need to score at least 60% in your polytechnic then only you will be eligible to write any test for lateral entry. and also your age after completion of your course must not be more than 25 years. Age limit varies for different courses but it would be best if your age is between 17-25 years. But it should not be more than 27 in any case. All the best! |
